1901
The Winter Organization was founded by Benjamin Winter Sr., who emigrated from Poland and initially painted tenements in NYC’s Lower East Side.

1920
Winter pioneered the opportunistic trading of NYC real estate.
Winter’s portfolio included: The Astor Mansion, The Vanderbilt Mansion, The Hotel Delmonico, The Stanhope, The Hotel Leonori, The Pennsylvania Building, The Spanish Flats.

1950
Marvin S. Winter continued his father’s strategy of focusing on prime NYC properties.
Under his leadership, Winter developed 210 Central Park South.

1980
Benjamin and James Winter continued their father’s focus on long-term positioning of assets and strategically expanded the investment portfolio.
Winter's acquisitions included 111-115 Fifth Avenue as well as The Dodge Mansion, which was developed into 800 Fifth Avenue.

1991
Notable acquisition of The Crown Building at 730 Fifth Avenue.

2014
David S. Winter and David J. Millstone of 40 North, in concert with The Winter Organization, founded Winter Properties.

2019
Rick H. Singer joined Winter Properties as President. Winter strategically shifted to invest in real estate operating companies and their related assets.
Winter acquired a significant interest in Magellan Development Group.

2020
